El gas natural ha tenido un papel importante a lo largo de la historia para el desarrollo humano. El gas natural surge de la descomposición de materia orgánica que a ciertas condiciones de presión y temperatura en un periodo de millones de años. El gas natural se puede encontrar de manera asociado y no asociado, el cual depende de la ubicación del yacimiento. El gas natural y el gas licuado de petróleo son combustibles fósiles pero diferentes en cuanto a su composición, obtención, procesamiento, transporte y comercialización. Se describe el dimensionamiento para la extensión de red el tipo de tubería el diámetro correcto, el espesor adecuado para poder transportar el gas natural para el grifo PRIMAX MONTREAL para poder cumplir el funcionamiento correcto del compresor y así poder abastecer de manera óptima los dispensadores (OSINERGMIN, 2014).
