Abstract

-- ABSTRACT : An imposing cliff, up to 80 meters high, on the north side of Pic Champlain, hangs above a portion of the Saint-Fabien-sur-Mer village. Two major rockfall events have occurred there in 1967 (>500 m3) and 2017 (~27 m3). Several houses are located within the cliff's fall line, and it is recommended that the municipal regional county (MRC) include areas exposed to rockfall into their land-use planning. The Rockyfor3D software was used to simulate rockfall trajectories on a digital elevation model of the study site. First, the rock faces and talus slopes were characterized using remote sensing data, supported and validated by field visits. This data was used as the inputs to the simulation of rockfall trajectories. Then, a sensitivity analysis was performed by varying the rock block volume, the slope surface roughness and the presence of trees throughout multiple simulations. The simulation results were validated with the energy angle output and the reach angle of similarly sized boulders found on the field. The reach probability output data was used to identify varying levels of susceptibility to rockfalls and to propose a probable limit line.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
