Abstract
Cathy Poulos (left) and Mary Lou McEachern (right), at the Cape Fear Garden Club Azalea Belle Tea.\n\nMary Lou McEachern (1941- 2012) hosted the Cape Fear Garden Club's Azalea Belle tea at her home for over twenty years. She was very active in community and civic organizations, especially the North Carolina Azalea Festival and the Cape Fear Garden Club. She and her daughter were the primary donors for the butterfly house at Airlie gardens. Cathy Poulos (1956- ) moved to Wilmington in 1978. She is an active member of the Cape Fear Garden Club and in 2007 was tour chairman. She is an artist, and one of her paintings was was chosen as the Official Commemorative Art for the 60th North Carolina Azalea Festival in 2006.
