Abstract
Le rôle de l’intervenant pivot en oncologie s’est développé pour assurer la continuité et la concertation dans les soins aux personnes atteintes de cancer et leurs familles. Dans la province de Québec, c’est une infirmière qui assure cette fonction. Ce premier article, d’une série de deux, a pour but de clarifier le choix de l’infirmière comme intervenant pivot et de décrire l’intégration de ce nouveau rôle dans la région de la Montérégie. Le Programme québécois de lutte contre le cancer, la définition de l‘infirmière pivot en oncologie et la mise en oeuvre d’un réseau intégré de soin selon l’expérience en Montérégie seront discutés.
