IV REMERCIEMENTSJe tiens d' abord à remercier ma directrice de recherche, Marise 8achand, pour son aide précieuse, son écoute et sa disponibilité sans faille.Il ne fait aucun doute que le perfectionnement de soi est une tâche dont les obstacles sont difficiles à identifier en début de route, mais la confiance et la générosité de cette dernière m' ont permis de mener à terme ce projet de longue haleine, dont les revirements ont été nombreux.Je tiens aussi à remercier le professeur René Hardy, qui m' a partagé l' ensemble de ses recherches sur le charivari, et sans qui ce mémoire n' aurait évidemment pas été possible.Disposant d' un corpus de sources constitué durant quinze ans de recherche, je ne peux que saluer l' effort et la rigueur d' un tel travail.Plus largement, je tiens à remercier l'ensemble du corps professoral du département des sciences humaines de l' UQTR, dont le savoir-faire et le professionnalisme m' accompagne dans ma vie quotidienne.Je n' aurais pas pu mieux choisir comme endroit pour devenir une historienne.Taimerais exprimer ma gratitude à mes collègues universitaires, dont les conseils et les misères m' ont permis de me situer dans mon propre cheminement.
