Cet article rapporte les résultats d'un atelier de dialogue citoyen qui s'est tenu à l'Université de Montréal en avril 2008. La question au coeur de cette activité était de savoir comment les citoyens "profanes" peuvent contribuer à l'élaboration de plans d'intervention visant à lutter contre une pandémie d'influenza. Les résultats émanant de cet atelier montrent que la somme des savoirs profanes permet l'émergence de solutions concrètes et pertinentes à certains problèmes complexes de santé publique.
