Le rapport synthèse sur la recherche en alphabétisation comporte deux parties principales. La première, intitulée Portrait synthèse des recherches en alphabétisation en français au Canada : 1994-2005, propose un bilan de la recherche et présente des éléments de synthèse sur le contexte des recherches, les thèmes de recherche, les auteurs, les années de publication, les types de recherche, les sources de\nfinancement et les lieux de production. Elle offre ainsi une mise en perspective notamment au regard de l’évolution et des tendances de la recherche.\n\nLa deuxième partie propose, quant à elle, un portrait thématique : celui-ci consiste en une analyse thématique des recherches. On y trouve alors plus de détails sur chaque thème retenu avec ses sous-thèmes et ses auteurs ainsi qu’un résumé\nqui précède la liste des recherches classées sous le thème.
