Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Energy-awareness is an urgent need to tackle the challenges raised by the high demands of wireless traffic and energy consumption, and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is a multi-carrier modulation technique that has been widely used in broadband wireless systems in order to mitigate the adverse impacts of frequency-selective fading. In this thesis, we consider the problem of energy-aware resource allocation in a downlink (DL) transmission scenario of multi-user OFDM systems. At first, an optimal and fast resource allocation algorithm is proposed for maximizing the energy efficiency (EE) of a DL multi-user OFDM system subject to a constraint on the total transmit power of the base station (BS).By allocating each subcarrier to the user with the best channel power gain and then adapting the transmit power for each subcarrier using water-filling (WF) policy, we show that the optimal EE can be obtained. Moreover, we propose a fast algorithm with linear complexity for computing the optimal WF level and perform simulations to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.Next, we investigate the trade-off between spectral efficiency (SE) and EE, which are the two important design criteria of future wireless systems. Le-Ngoc not only enlightened me with his vast technical and non-technical knowledge, but also provided me with a most inspiring research environment. He has always galvanized and helped me to deliver my best. This thesis would not have been possible without his continuous devotion and motivation. My deep appreciation goes to Dr. Leila Musavian for her patience, productive research

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
