Abstract
Cet article expose divers aspects de l'application du Systme d'analyse de textes par ordinateur (SATO) dans le cadre d'une recherche portant sur le rle des professions extralgales dans le traitement judiciaire des personnes mineures.La recherche a t mene autour du cas de la Cour juvnile de Winnipeg (Canada) pendant la priode 1930-1960, le corpus empirique tant constitu par un ensemble de 261 dossiers sociaux et psychiatriques.Au moyen de SATO, on a appliqu des procdures telles que le triage de lexiques, le blocage de locutions, la catgorisation, la segmentation, le calcul de distances statistiques et le reprage de concordances.L'article vise montrer, par le biais de quelques exemples, l'utilit d'un logiciel de ce genre dans une dmarche de lecture sociologique de donnes textuelles.
