Abstract
En la arquitectura del siglo XXI se presentan una serie de retos y preocupaciones relacionados con el futuro de planeta y el rumbo que tiene que tomar la nueva arquitectura, alineándose con la agenda sostenible. Desde que surgiera la idea, se han planteado nuevos métodos, nuevos estilos, nuevos materiales, para llevar a término el objetivo de una arquitectura sostenible. Materiales de origen natural como la madera, plásticos no dañinos… se están empleando como solución a este problema. \n \nEn este trabajo se plantea el estudio de una estructura de bóveda encamonada de madera del siglo XVII con la intención de conocer el funcionamiento de estructuras del pasado y una posible aplicación en el futuro. Se desarrollará un modelo estructural destinado a conocer la propia estructura y eventualmente a experimentar con otras soluciones materiales con vistas a desarrollar nuevos modelos sostenibles alineados con los requerimientos arquitectónicos actuales.
