[es] Después de lo que Humboldt escribiera en 1801 sobre los vascos y particularmente sobre el teatro popular vasco, muchos han sido los que han tratado de dar a conocer el mismo, bien en el siglo XIX (Chaho, Michel, Vinson, Webster...), bien en el XX (Labaien, Oyharçabal, Garamendi, Etchecopar, Mozos, Urkizu...). Por desgracia, la única tesis presentada en euskara, el trabajo de Iñaki Mozos sobre Jean de Parisen Trageria, y el trabajo DEA de Ixabel Etxeberria sobre el teatro de Pierre Larzabal, permanecen inéditos. Por lo tanto, queda mucho por hacer tanto en el terreno de la edición como en el de las pastorales o en la información acerca de otras épocas, a la espera de los jóvenes investigadores.
