Abstract
Expressions and proverbs are language structures which received production of savings from past to today imagination and memory of society. Poets benefit from these possibilities of language to enhance their definitions on their poems and to make interest or to be clear and understandable abstract dreams which they have into brains more or less. Expressions were already formed with art understanding has an important role at this preference.Expressions are in Divan of Safiye Sultanzade Mehmet Rezmî who lived second half of 17th century and first quarter of 18th century and use of these expressions will be tackled in our study. Remzi was a poet who used usually elements belong to Ottoman’s society daily life and concerning daily life expressions, phrases. Because he had sophisticated identity, was a member of Ottoman Empire, took education in palace and assigned during his life, it is noticeable that he used deeply concerning life elements in this way. Deyimler ve atasözleri, toplum hafızasının ve muhayyilesinin geçmişten günümüze elde ettiği birikiminin üretimi olan dil yapılarıdır. Şairler, şiirlerinde anlatımı güçlendirmek ve ilgi çekici bir hale getirmek ya da kurdukları soyut hayâlleri daha açık ve anlaşılır kılmak amacıyla dilin bu ifade imkânlarından az ya da çok mutlaka yararlanırlar. Deyimlerin zaten sanatlı bir anlayışla meydana getirilmiş olması bu tercihte önemli bir yer tutmuştur. Çalışmada 17. yüzyılın ikinci yarısı ile 18. yüzyılın ilk çeyreğinde yaşamış Safiye Sultanzade Mehmet Rezmî’nin Divanı’nda yer alan deyimlerle bu deyimlerin kullanımı ele alınacaktır. Rezmî, Osmanlı toplumunun gündelik hayatına ait unsurları ve günlük diline ilişkin deyimleri, tabirleri sıklıkla kullanmış bir şairdir. Çok yönlü sanatçı bir kimliğe sahip olan şairin Osmanlı hanedanına mensup olması, sarayda eğitim görüp bütün hayatı boyunca sarayda görevler almış olması bakımından, sosyal hayata ilişkin unsurları böylesine yoğun bir şekilde kullanmış olması dikkate değerdir.
