Abstract
Rick Uhrich excelled in both hockey and business – and they were both important elements of his life. Rick passed away on September 4, 2014, at the age of 60, and a friend, Rhys Renouf of Calgary, says “I got an idea that a Memorial Award would be a good way to honour such a good friend, and a person who contributed in different ways.” Rhys remembers Rick – U of R grad, hockey player and businessman – as a leader.
