Abstract
One of five distinctive concrete bowstring bridges spanning the Grand River, the Caledonia bridge was erected by Toronto's Randolph MacDonald Co. for Ontario's Department of Public Highways. It opened on November 19, 1927. With nine arches crossing 213 metres (700 feet), the Caledonia bridge is the longest bridge of the five. A slideshow of panoramic landscapes, riverscapes, freshwater clams and waterfowl close-ups.
