Kanker payudara menempati urutan pertama yang menyerang perempuan Indonesia. Riwayat keluarga merupakan salah satu faktor internal yang memegang peranan penting terhadap kejadian kanker payudara. Onset menopause dikaitkan dengan peningkatan risiko kanker payudara. Kejadian kanker payudara premenopause pada negara berkembang dengan usia rata-rata pasien sekitar 50 tahun. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan riwayat keluarga dengan kejadian kanker payudara premenopause pada etnis Minangkabau.
\nPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional kuantitatif dengan rancangan berupa case control retrospektif. Data primer didapatkan dari hasil wawancara langsung pada kelompok kontrol dan melalui telepon pada kelompok kasus yang disertai dengan pengisian kuesioner riwayat kanker keluarga modifikasi dari Kingston General Hospital Cancer Centre Of Southeastern Ontario. Data sekunder menggunakan data pasien onkologi di Bagian Ilmu Bedah RSUP Dr. M. Djamil Padang. Sampel terdiri dari 125 orang kelompok kasus dan 125 orang kelompok kontrol dengan usia 30 – 50 tahun dan berasal dari etnis Minangkabau. Penelitian dilakukan pada September 2019 – Desember 2019. Chi Square digunakan untuk menganalisis hubungan.
\nBerdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa distribusi kanker payudara terbanyak pada kelompok umur 41-45 tahun. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan riwayat kanker pada saudara perempuan (OR : 1,534, 95% CI: 0,531-4,460), kanker pada ibu (Odds Ratio (OR): 1,177, 95% CI: 0,384-3,605), kanker pada ayah (OR: 1, 95% CI: 0,198-5,052). Hanya 12,8% kasus kanker payudara pada penelitian ini memiliki riwayat kanker pada keluarga. Wanita berisiko menderita kanker payudara 1,5 kali lipat jika saudara perempuannya terkena kanker dan 1,2 kali lipat jika ibunya terkena kanker. Riwayat kanker pada keluarga meningkatkan risiko kejadian kanker payudara.
