India's foreign minister demanded an apology Wednesday from Amazon.com Inc. for selling doormats depicting the Indian flag on the online shopping giant's Canadian website. India wants an apology from Amazon and the country's foreign minister took to twitter with a warning for the company......saying if it doesn't get one...she could deny Indian visas to Amazon employees...External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj says they're not happy Amazon sold doormats depicting the national flag.The doormats were being sold by a third party on Amazon's Canadian website.Other mats showed other national flags, including the U.S., U.K. and Canada.The foreign minister ordered the embassy in Canada to take up the matter with Amazon 'at the highest level.'In India, insulting the national flag is punishable with fines and prison time.Last year, there were protests after the online retailer offered other doormats depicting Hindu gods.Amazon has since removed the flag doormats from its site.
