Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

San Joaquin County prosecutors said Monday they're charging the sole surviving suspect from a bloody Stockton bank heist with three counts of murder and 22 counts of attempted murder. Two of the murder charges come from the deaths of suspect Jaime Ramos' partners in the crime, Alex Gregory Martinez and Gilbert Renteria Jr., who police killed during the robbery. News 10's Tim Daly has been covering the fallout from last Wednesday's midday melee and joins us for this weekâs News Network with details about the new charges. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ethan Blecher Braves a Bully, a children's fictional chapter book for ages 7-9 authored by Chris Pedersen, follows the story of a boy who finds himself bullied in school. The protagonist, Ethan, is forced to face his school bully and nemesis, Blake, who shows up at the spring camp Ethan's parents send him away to. Chris Pedersen aims to bring awareness to the issue of bullying and empower youth through this series. "It explores independence, managing conflict and difficult people, overcoming adversity, responding to inappropriate behavior, finding inner strength, relying on good judgment to solve problems, team work, personal discovery, emotional and creative intelligence, and reasoning." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The story of Peter Pan and Wendy Darling dates back far before Mary Martin ever donned a pair of green tights in the 1950âs. The boy who never wanted to grow up first appeared in a novel by J.M. Barrie in 1902 and would later evolve into the lead character of Barrie's 1911 book "Peter Pan and Wendy." These early renderings of Pan were darker than the Disney and Broadway depictions we have all come to know. The premise for Peter Pan was Barrie's older brother who died before he turned 14, and, thus, could never grow up. It's in the spirit of these early renditions of Barrie's character that Sierra Stages' production of "Peter Pan" exists. And it seems to be striking a chord with audiences in the foothills. The production company set a record opening weekend with the play, which runs through August 2. Joining us to talk more about the production is director Jac Royce and actor Brandon Johnson (Captain Hook). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sacramento native Max Haft is in town, after spending several years studying at the Royal Conservatory of the Hague and playing professionally from his home in Germany. He has shaped his career around studying and performing contemporary music, as well as blurring the lines between chamber music and free jazz. Today on Insight, he will play us a piece on a Stroh violin as well as feature some solo recordings. Since his arrival in Europe, Max has performed in a wide variety of groups such as Ensemble Proton, Ensemble Garage, and the Metropole Orkest.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
