El presente escrito presenta un avance de investigación doctoral que desea entrever la relación entre la construcción de conocimiento en una comunidad de formación científica, entendida como una comunidad de práctica, y el uso de conocimiento matemático, enfocándose a actividades en las que se haga uso de gráficas en el quehacer de dicha comunidad.
