L’éducation contemporaine ne peut éluder la prise en compte des enjeux socioécologiques qui confrontent nos sociétés. Comment la classe d’arts plastiques peut-elle conscientiser les élèves à l’état de dégradation sociale et écologique du monde actuel ? Dans le contexte scolaire québécois, les domaines généraux de formation du Programme de formation de l’école québécoise offrent un ancrage curriculaire privilégié pour soumettre aux élèves des propositions de création favorisant l’approfondissement de problématiques sociales ou environnementales. Cet article présente la démarche d’une enseignante ayant intégré les perspectives de l’éducation relative à l’environnement à ses cours d’arts plastiques au secondaire.
