Abstract
Cette étude approche, sous un angle historique, littéraire et religieux, l'évolution de l'idéologie de la « pastorale de la peur », introduite par l'historien Jean Delumeau, dans sa recontextualisation au Canada Français. Plus particulièrement, elle s'intéresse aux différentes figures effrayantes venant de l'imaginaire religieux européen et à comment celles-ci sont transformées dans leurs représentations se trouvant dans le genre littéraire du conte surnaturel.
