Abstract
Dans cette recherche, nous explorons la question de la pertinence du message transmis par l'Église catholique aux hommes et aux femmes du Québec, à l'égard de la problématique du couple et du mariage. A cet effet, nous empruntons l'itinéraire des croyants qui sont confrontés à des réalités théologiques telles que la foi, la révélation, la tradition et le magistère. Nous interrogeons ensuite les notions de couple et de mariage, à la lumière de l'amour qui est reconnu comme le fondement du mariage religieux. Compte tenu de l'importance de ce lieu théologique qu'est l'expérience de foi, nous rapportons l'expression de foi recueillie lors d'entrevues auprès de croyants, en vue de favoriser un renouvellement de l'anthropologie et une reformulation de la doctrine du mariage, et en définitive, de permettre, grâce à une harmonisation entre la religion et le présent contexte de vie, la poursuite de la marche vers le salut.
