Le scelte di consumo musicale degli italiani: tra univori e onnivori

Abstract
I modelli di consumo culturale di diversi paesi suggeriscono l’emergere negli ultimi decenni di nuovo gruppo di fruitori culturali che manifestano preferenze onnivore, scardinando la tradizionale corrispondenza tra stratificazione sociale e stratificazione culturale. Le prime evidenze di tale tendenza si sono riscontrate negli Sati Uniti e sono state confermate in altri paesi quali Canada, Israele, Australia e, a livello europeo, Francia, Germania, Paesi Bassi, Regno Unito, Spagna e Svezia. L’obiettivo di questo saggio è di testare l’ipotesi di una tale tendenza anche in Italia e limitatamente ai gusti musicali, nella loro manifestazione come scelte di ascolto e di partecipazione ai concerti. Si cercherà di verificare se in Italia, così come nei paesi precedentemente elencati, si possa parlare di un nuovo gruppo di fruitori di musica con preferenze più articolate rispetto a coloro che ascoltano solo musica colta e a coloro con un gusto esclusivo per altri generi musicali. Tenteremo, inoltre, di fornire un’analisi della corrispondenza tra caratteristiche individuali socio-economiche e preferenza per l’onnivorismo.
