Abstract
El retaule major gòtic de la catedral de la Seu d'Urgell, com tantes altres peces de l'esmentada catedral, es considerava il•localitzable fins fa poc.L'autor explica com arran de la celebració del cinquè centenari de la catedral de Las Palmas de Gran Canària va poder comprovar com el que fou, entre el 1930 i 1996, retaule de la capella major d'aquest temple, considerat de procedència desconeguda, era precisament el retaule de la Seu d'Urgell que havia estat adquirit pel consell catedralici canari a l'antiquari català Domènec Viñals el primer quart del segle passat.
