Abstract
This research has been focused on\nhow to understand the different behaviors\nrelated to love and sex, of\nyoung people in the streets of Quebec,\nCanada. This study is in relation\nto the factor of risk and the factor of\nprotection that concern to the propagation\nof Sexually transmitted diseases\nand blood transmitted infections\nas well as the HIV virus. A qualitative\nmethod was used based on the\ngathering of data from life experiences.\nThis approach has allowed to\nfilter all of these young people�s experiences\nstarting from the meaning\nthat these stories had for all of them.\nThe fifty individual interviews involved\nthirty males and twenty females of an\naverage age of twenty. We have identified\ntwo types of young people. The\n�survivor� and the �adventurer�. The\nsurvivor from the streets is the one that survives the adversity through a\nhistory of a painful life. The �adventurer�\nhas chosen to break his family\nmodel. In their love and sexual practices\nwe have discovered six ways of\navoiding the use of a condom. We conclude\nthat it is important to reinforce\nthe prevention of AIDS and STD�s\nadapting the lecture to the reality lived\nby the youth on the streets meaning\nthe search of pleasure, before everything.
