Представленная работа посвящена конфликту России и Турции на фоне Персидского похода Петра Великого. Рост напряжения в русско-турецких отношениях в правление Петра I впервые наблюдался еще в конце XVII столетия. Затем это напряжение переросло в Прутский поход 1711 года и Персидскую кампанию 1722-1723 гг. Тем не менее, во время Каспийских походов удалось избежать крупного столкновения двух держав. Это противостояние завершилось заключением мира в Стамбуле в 1724 году, согласно которому Россия и Турция присоединили к себе ряд территорий.
