Abstract
Pada penulisan skripsi yang berjudul “Peranan DHD dalam Melestarikan Nilai Kejuangan di Sumatra Barat 1963 - 2009” memfokuskan tentang cara-cara yang dilakukan oleh DHD 45 dalam melestarikan nilai-nilai kejuangan di Sumatera Barat. \nPenelitian ini menggunakan metode sejarah yang terdiri atas empat tahapan. Pertama heuristik (pengumpulan sumber), kedua kritik (baik kritik intern maupun ekstern), ketiga interpretasi, terakhir historiografi (penulisan hasil sejarah). Sumber yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa arsip, naskah, dan laporan dari para pengurus, serta anggota DHD 45 yang diperoleh dari perpustakaan DHD 45 Sumatera Barat, berupa arsip-arsip seperti status kepengurusan Gedung Joang, naskah-naskah transkrip ceramah, laporan-laporan pengamalan JSN dan buku saku DHD. \nPerjuangan rakyat Indonesia dalam merebut kemerdekaan, menyisakan nilai-nilai perjuangan yang patut dilestarikan untuk menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa. Dalam melestarikan nilai-nilai kejuangan atau yang disebut Jiwa, Semangat dan Nilai-nilai 45 (JSN 45), maka disetiap provinsi di Indonesia dibentuk Dewan Harian Daerah 45 (DHD 45), dengan tujuan menjamin tetap tegaknya NKRI yang berdasarkan Pancasila dan UUD 1945, dan terpeliharanya watak, serta kepribadian bangsa yang sesuai dengan JSN 45. \nKesimpulan dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan mewariskan dan melestarikan nilai-nilai perjuangan pada generasi penerus, seperti sikap patriotisme dan rasa nasionalisme dapat mendorong dan membantu tercapainya cita-cita nasional bangsa dan pembangunan nasional. \n \n \nKata kunci : DHD 45, JSN 45 (Jiwa, Semangat dan Nilai-nilai 45), Patriotisme
