Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The various factors causing the price movements of southern pine sawtimber stumpage in Louisiana from the year 1955 to 2000 are discussed. The quarterly stumpage prices from the year 1955 to 2000 are also presented. The southern pine beetle outbreaks of the year 1985 and 1986 caused sawtimber stumpage price to decrease from $144.13 per MBF in first quarter of 1985 to $98.66 per MBF in the third quarter of the same year. The brief drought in the year 1996 had also caused the stumpage price drop. With the arrival of the plywood industry in the South, the demand for sawtimber increased and prices also increased from about $100/MBF to around $150/MBF between 1966 and 1969.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
