Abstract
Objetivo: describir el significado que puérperas, en etapa mediata y tardía del postparto, atendidas en la Clínica Maternidad Rafael Calvo de la ciudad de Cartagena, le asignan a la experiencia de gestación con preeclampsia. Diseño, muestra y participantes: investigación cualitativa, descriptiva e interpretativa, muestreo por pertinencia y adecuación, se realizaron veinte entrevistas a diez puérperas que estuvieron hospitalizadas en la clínica Maternidad Rafael calvo de Cartagena durante el mes de diciembre de 2009 hasta el mes de agosto de 2010 para descubrir cómo crean y dan significado a la experiencia de gestación con preeclampsia. El muestreo se realizó por saturación de información. Resultados: surgen cuatro categorías: “El embarazo como un proceso normal”, “Reacciones ante el diagnóstico”, “Desinformación como parte del proceso” y “La esperanza ante la realidad”. Estas categorías están enmarcadas en el tema central de investigación: transitar desde la normalidad de la gestación hacia la experiencia de la preeclampsia. Conclusión: para las puérperas en una gestación con preeclampsia todo parece normal, confían en estar sanas; por ello reaccionan ante el diagnóstico con temor al riesgo de morir ella y su hijo, con sentimientos perturbadores que, generalmente, son ignorados por los proveedores de la salud; aun cuando su cuerpo revela la enfermedad. Además, el desconocimiento de los signos y síntomas de alarma las conduce a prácticas de cuidado paliativas alejadas del tratamiento médico y del cuidado de enfermería; así mismo, con “el padecimiento” fortalecen su fe y mantienen el optimismo para la recuperación de ella y su hijo. Recomendaciones: Aplicar en la práctica de enfermería, propuestas de cuidado que contemplen las categorías surgidas de esta investigación. / Abstract. Objetive: Describing the meaning that puerperal, mediate and late – stage pospartum, attending in the Rafael Calvo Materninity Clinic in the Cartagena City. It gives to the pregnancy of experience with preeclampsia. Design: Sample and participants: Quality Scareching Interpretation descriptive, relevance and Sampling and adecuation, twenty interviews were made to ten puerperal who were stayed in the Rafael Calvo Maternity Clinic in Cartagena during the period 2009 – 2010 to find how the creat and give meaning of the preeclampsia gestation experience. The sampling did by saturation from information. Results: Four categories emerge: “the pregnacy how a normal process”, “Diagnostics to the reactions”, “part of disinformation”, “hape to reality” searching central of the tropics moving from gestation normality to the preeclampsia experience. Ending: To puerperals in a preeclampsia gestation seems all normal, truston been cure, react before diagnostics with fear of die she and her son, with disturbing feelings, generally, ignored by the healthy supliers. Even when her body shows the illness, the unknown of the syntoms and of the alarm signs, leading to care practices paliatives and medical treatment remote and the nor sering carem, with the “ suffering strengthen their farith”, belive in a supreme being and keep the optimins for the recovery of her and her son. Recomendations: Nursery practicing apply cares proposals that emerge from searching categorics.
