Abstract
"This exhibition is the first presentation of the long-term university research project initiated by the department of art history of UQAM. It aims to address the inventory of texts and works that theorists, critics, artists, conservators and other authors had written in anticipation, reactively or in response to performance art. The exhibition room, transformed as a library and research centre, invites visitors to understand the evolution of performance art in Quebec and Canada during the lasts decades with consultation of an annotated bibliography and a selection of documents made by local and national artists." -- Publisher's website.
