RESUMEN: El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar el efecto de la aplicacin de estrategias de enseanza y aprendizaje, para difundir y fortalecer el valor histrico y cultural de las Danzas Locos de San Isidro Labrador Lagunillas-Mrida.La investigacin es de tipo cualitativa, de paradigma humanista y diseo etnogrfico.Los participantes fueron estudiantes de educacin bsica, media y general, pblica y privada, jvenes y adultos de la comunidad en general (N=32), a quienes se les aplic un cuestionario de preguntas abiertas para diagnosticar sus intereses y necesidades, e implementar la ejecucin de talleres como estrategia de enseanza y aprendizaje, produciendo cambios significativos de conceptos y actitudes en los estudiantes y comunidad, reflejado en el manejo del lenguaje y cronologa
