Abstract
"El estudio analiza el caso de Maurice Duplessis, primer ministro de la provincia canadiense de Québec, a la luz de la influencia o utilización de los valores tradicionales y sentimientos identitarios de la cultura francocanadiense en la conformación de una propuesta política de corte populista de derecha. Para el análisis se recurre a estudios basados en técnicas lingüísticas de análisis del discurso y de análisis de contenido. Se comentan los resultados a la luz de algunas teorías sobre el populismo, el liderazgo, la psicohistoria, partiendo del supuesto de la similitud cultural entre los francocanadienses y los latinoamericanos."
