Abstract
Olen opinnäytetyössäni tutkinut aikuisten harrastepohjaisen bändisoiton opettamista, käyttäen tutkimuksen pohjana Kumpulan aikuisten bändileireiltä vuosien 2008 ja 2014 väliltä saatuja kokemuksia.\n \nLeireille voi osallistua ilman mitään aiempaa soittokokemusta. Myöskään nuottien tai sointumerkkien tuntemista ei edellytetä. Tällaista matalan kynnyksen bändisoittoa ei juurikaan opeteta muualla, eikä siitä näin ollen ole tehty tutkimuksiakaan. Pohjimmiltani halusin vastauksen kysymykseen; "Voiko soittotaidottomille aikuisille opettaa menestyksellisesti bändisoittoa yhden viikonlopun aikana ja millä keinoin?"\n \nKeskeiseen rooliin leireillä nousi monikanavainen opetus: kuinka esittää asioita visuaalisesti, auditiivisesti ja kinesteettisesti. Sen käyttöä olen tarkastellut erilaisten esimerkkien kautta. \n\nOpinnäytetyö sisältää myös kuvauksia oppilaiden omista notaatio- tai muistiinmerkitsemistavoista sekä keinoista hahmottaa rytmiä.\n\nOlen lisäksi kartoittanut tällaisen bändileiritoiminnan seurauksia: bändileireille osallistuneiden musiikkiharrastuksen jatkumista leirien jälkeen.\n \nToivon, että tekemäni havainnot inspiroivat muita opettajia kehittämään matalan kynnyksen elämyspohjaista opetusta aikuisille.
