Изучается роль наиболее массового общественного объединения УССР по обслуживанию въездных туристов с конца 1950-х до начала 1990-х гг. – Украинского общества дружбы и культурной связи с зарубежными странами. Доказано, что основной целью деятельности общества являлась пропаганда социалистического строя, укрепление дружеских и деловых контактов, понимания, доверия и культурного взаимодействия украинцев с населением зарубежных государств. Выявлено, что объединение обслуживало значительную часть въездных туристов, прибывших в УССР в составе туристических групп, «поездов дружбы и мира», а также различных делегаций. Отмечено, что большинство туристов, приезжавших из капиталистических государств, составляли украинские эмигранты, чаще из Канады и США. Перечислены активно использовавшиеся формы работы с туристами: праздничные собрания, вечера дружбы и мира, концерты, митинги, беседы по профессиям, посещение образовательных, просветительских и медицинских организаций, предприятий, колхозов. Показано, что в этих мероприятиях активно участвовали лидеры производства, руководители предприятий, медики, преподаватели, писатели, художники, композиторы. = The article examines the role of the mass public аssociation of the USSR Ukrainian society of friendship and cultural relations with foreign countries on maintenance of incoming tourists in a period from the end of 1950s for beginning of 1990s years. Proved that the primary purpose of activity of society was propaganda of socialistic line-up, strengthening of friendly and business contacts, understanding, trust and cultural co-operation of Ukrainians with the population of the foreign countries. It is revealed that the society served a significant portion of incoming tourists. The tourists arrived in the USSR as part of a tour groups, trains of friendship and peace, as well as delegations. The most of tourists arriving from the capitalist countries were Ukrainian immigrants, mainly from Canada and the USA. The most active in work with tourists the Society of friendship used such forms: festive gatherings, evenings of friendship and peace, concerts, rallies and discussions on occupations; visiting educational and medical organizations, enterprises, collective farms. In these events were actively attended by the leaders of production, leaders of enterprises, physicians, teachers, writers, artists, composers, participated actively.
