Abstract
Dans cette tude, nous modlisons la demande d'lectricit de la totalit des mnages de douze rgions du Qubec utilisant l'lectricit comme seule source d'nergie pour la priode dbutant en 1987 et clturant en 2004.Cette approche a pour objectif d'tudier les lasticit-prix et revenus de la clientle rsidentielle, et de prvoir ses ractions de court et de long terme face aux changements affectant ses factures d'lectricit et son revenu moyen.Pour ce faire, les paramtres du modle ont t estims l'aide des moindres carrs ordinaires.L'tude nous permet de conclure que les consommateurs cibls ont de faibles lasticit-prix et revenus de court et de long terme.L'lasticit-prix et revenu de court terme, de l'ensemble des rgions administratives, dmontrent qu'une hausse tarifaire de 10 pourcent affecte la consommation moyenne des mnages d'environ 1,5 pourcent, alors qu'une hausse de 10 pourcent du revenu moyen cre une augmentation de prs de 0,8 pourcent dans la consommation moyenne d'lectricit.i
