Abstract
La forma de gestionar el sistema universitario ha estado en análisis académico en el último cuarto de siglo con una fuerza inusitada. La gobernanza universitaria es una categoría científica en construcción en la actualidad, debido al esfuerzo de múltiples investigadores en todo el continente. El artículo tiene como objetivo sistematizar los principales elementos que caracterizan a la autonomía y la gobernanza universitaria en América Latina, así como su interrelación, luego de una década de significativos aportes teóricos y prácticos. La metodología empleada se basa en el análisis de literatura académica publicada en revistas de alto impacto científico, determinando los principales elementos que contribuyan a la integración del conocimiento en torno al objeto de estudio. Las conclusiones apuntan hacia la necesidad de continuar aportando a la gobernanza universitaria, desarrollar investigaciones interdisciplinarias y fomentar la generalización de los resultados. ABSTRACT The way of managing the university system has been in academic analysis in the last quarter of a century with an unusual force. University governance is a scientific category currently under construction due to the efforts of multiple researchers across the continent. The article aims to systematize the main elements that characterize autonomy and university governance in Latin America after a decade of significant theoretical and practical contributions. The methodology used is based on the analysis of academic literature published in journals of high scientific impact, determining the main elements contributing to the integration of knowledge around the object of study. The conclusions point to the need to continue contributing to university governance, develop interdisciplinary research, and promote the generalization of the results.
