Abstract
When asked what their main non-academic activity was in the same time period, over twothirds of students said that they were working, either full-time or part-time.As expected, students' ages influenced their main activity prior to enrolment: students in the 25-to 29-yearold cohort are most likely to report working.In age groups older than this cohort, a smaller proportion of students worked immediately before attending college.Students in Access and Upgrading programs were thus least likely to report having worked in the 12 months prior to enrolment.Post/Advanced Diploma students are most likely to have worked full-time, and University Preparation and Degree students are most likely to have worked part-time.Just over half of students (54%) plan to work after graduation, especially those obtaining a Post/Advanced Diploma.
