Abstract
Cette étude examine les pratiques d'inclusion des immigrants dans le Musée McCord Stewart, un musée d’histoire sociale de Montréal. En tenant compte de la mission sociale du musée, cette analyse explore la manière dont cette institution culturelle s’efforce à prendre en compte les communautés immigrantes dans la société montréalaise. L'accent est mis sur les initiatives éducatives, citoyennes et culturelles et sur les liens qu'elles contribuent à établir avec les immigrants. Cette étude est basée sur une analyse qualitative recensant les données collectées à partir des entretiens avec des professionnels muséaux et des professionnels des organismes communautaires. Ce travail souligne l'importance des musées en tant qu'acteurs sociaux dans la promotion des valeurs de la diversité et de l’inclusion, en créant des espaces d'échange, de connaissance et de reconnaissance, afin de favoriser le vivre-ensemble. _____________________________________________________________________________ MOTS-CLÉS DE L’AUTEUR : musée, inclusion, immigration, communauté, diversité, vivre-ensemble.
