Abstract
Nous avons choisi l'Escola Estadual de Missão do Sahy (petit village situé à Senhor do Bonfim, Bahia, Brésil) pour interroger sa communauté scolaire sur l?histoire et la culture du village où l'école s'insère. Notre intérêt à la culture locale - dont les aspects historiques ont largement influencés par les anciennes cultures indigènes du Brésil - nous a conduit à la recherche des modes de production d'une identité culturale fondé sur la récupération du passé collectif. En utilisant des techniques interactionnistes symboliques - qui nous permettent une meilleure approche des actions humaines quotidiennes - nous avons interrogé surtout des élèves, professeurs et fonctionnaires de l'École concernant les origines locales, des modes d'y connaître et l'action scolaire dans ce contexte. \n
