Consumo de bebidas carbonatadas como factor de riesgo de enfermedad renal crónica: Una revisión sistemática

Abstract
Realizar una revisión sistemática para determinar si el consumo de bebidas carbonatadas es un factor de riesgo de Enfermedad Renal Crónica (ERC). Material y Métodos: La presente investigación sistematizó la evidencia disponible de estudios observacionales, para lo cual se realizó la búsqueda global en diversas bases de datos (PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, Ovid Medline, EBSCO, EMBASE, BVS y Google Scholar). Los metadatos obtenidos fueron descargados y unidos en un solo fichero usando el software Rayyan QCRI, para las referencias bibliográficas se usó ENDNOTE 20 y para la extracción de todos los datos de los artículos incluidos se distribuyeron en diversas tablas en el programa Microsoft Excel 2016. La evaluación de la calidad de los estudios fue determinada con la escala Newcastle-Ottawa. Resultados: Inicialmente se obtuvo un total de 20578 artículos; de los cuales después de la depuración final por título, resumen y lectura a texto completo, se incluyeron 16 investigaciones dentro de la revisión. Conclusiones: El consumo de bebidas carbonatadas es un factor de riesgo de Enfermedad Renal Crónica, esta relación causal es más sólida si se toma en cuenta el patrón de consumo, siendo la frecuencia de ingesta diaria y el tipo de bebida los más relevantes.
