Esta investigación se propone identificar las condiciones mesoescalares asociadas con la lluvia en la mañana durante el período lluvioso en las estaciones meteorológicas de La Habana, realizándose un estudio de carácter sinóptico y mesoescalar. Para ello se confecciona una base de datos trihorarios de lluvia en los horarios de la mañana en las estaciones meteorológicas de Casablanca y Santiago de las Vegas, correspondientes al período de estudio 2000-2017. Se determinaron un total de seis configuraciones sinópticas asociadas con la lluvia en la mañana en cada estación meteorológica, las cuales se conformaron según su ubicación en superficie, la estructura que presentaban en la altura y su influencia sobre el área de estudio. La influencia anticiclónica en superficie constituye la situación sinóptica que más días con lluvia en la mañana tuvo asociados en cada estación meteorológica. Además, se determinaron mediante imágenes de satélite y observaciones de radar meteorológico, cuatro condiciones que a mesoescala están asociadas con la lluvia, en los casos con influencia anticiclónica en toda la columna troposférica. Los niveles bajos de la tropósfera fueron los que más aportaron humedad y los movimientos verticales no influyeron de manera significativa en dichos casos. Los años 2005 y 2007 fueron los de mayor cantidad de días con lluvia en la mañana en Santiago de las Vegas y Casablanca, respectivamente, y se obtuvo octubre como el mes que más reportes de lluvia en la mañana tuvo asociado.
