Abstract
El jaciment s'asseu en la denominada Muntanyeta de Sant Josep, estrategic tur d'escassa al<;ada (160 m. d 'altitud) aixecat a ma d reta de la carretera Borriana M Segorbe.Fins avui han estat portades a terme tres campanyes d 'excavacions: 1974, 1975 i 1976.Una breu nota ders resurtats prefiminars d 'aq'uests trebaHs fou publi M cada per l'excavadora. 1Posteriorment, el material ha estat objecte d'una tesina de lIicenciatura; r'avan<; de I'estudi ja ha sigut publicat. 2A I'artide s'analitzaven -molt breument -ers tres perodes definits del jaciment: Edat der Bronze, rberitzaci i Reocupaci tardo-romana, insistint especialment en aquesta darrera fase per la probrematica tan singular que comporta.Durant fes tres campanyes han estat recuperades un total de 54 monedes, totes eHes (exceptuat un dirhem de Muhammad 1) encunyacions d'epoca romana.De la seua descripci es va ocupar P. P. RipoHs,3 er qual s tamb autor de dos comentaris.4 Car remarcar que amb anterioritat a les excavacions (cap a r'any 1953) aparegu en circumstancies no precisades un divisor de bronze cartagins. 5Els exemplars que tot seguit donem a conixer sn producte d'unes recerques dandestines efectuades per un particurar de La Val! r'any 1980.Margrat aquesta circumstancia, en assabentar-nos de I'existencia del bloc frem tot el possible per a catarogar-lo, ja que consideravem que reunia un evident inters.Afegirem, finarment, que a hores d'ara, el conjunt ha estat venuti dispersat.
