Abstract
La temática del origen de la vida está relacionada con el concepto de proto-química y organización molecular en diferentes medios en un ambiente terrestre incipiente. Sin embargo el tema no está librado tan solo al origen de la tierra y la influencia en los componentes desde tiempos iniciales involucrando teorías como la del “Big-Bang”, expansión del universo y desarrollo de la primera unidad de vida llamada la proto-célula. Sino que también incluye temáticas actuales como la llegada de materiales extraterrestres tales como meteoritos con una carga de material orgánico al igual que de inorgánico al planeta tierra. Este fenómeno ocurre desde los principios del origen de la vida y que actualmente organizaciones tales como CSA (Canadian Space Agency), NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) y ESA (European Space Agency) continúan su estudio. En base a los materiales orgánicos e inorgánicos se proponen diferentes tipos de organizaciones moleculares, los cuales forman proto-unidades de vida con funcionalidades específicas las cuales podrían ser las incipientes funcionalidades actuales de las diferentes células en nuestro cuerpo. Es por ello que para la propuesta de las proto-células se deben realizar un análisis retrospectivo en la funcionalidad y complejidad bioquímica de las células actuales teniendo en cuenta las disponibilidades de materiales y energía en tiempos remotos. En el presente artículo de difusión se discute acerca de los materiales iniciales, organización molecular y desarrollo de nuevos conceptos y áreas de investigación como la Biología Sintética, al igual que proyecciones y aplicaciones en Biotecnología.
