Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Beginning its functions in 1873, the credit establishment of mixed character called National Bank, represented one of the fundamental pillars of the State in the modernization of the financial system. Until the last quarter of the 19th century, in most historic provinces, private banking was underdeveloped, with the consequent preeminence of “informal” credit in the economy. The arrival of official banking -according to historiographic production- would have substantially modified this context, although certainly, it was far from being a smooth transformation. We will analyze the details of the implementation of this institutional/financial engineering that facilitated the attention of the credit requirements of the entire national territory between two key dates: the economic-financial crisis of 1873-75 and 1882, with the capital increase of the Bank under the auspices of the State, initiating an expansion cycle. We will focus on the following points: a) the logic of the deployment of branches in the provinces; b) the strategies applied by this institution to unify the monetary pattern in the face of a plurality of currencies. The main source we will use will be the Acts of the National Bank, in addition to reports, historical documentation and related bibliography. ARK: http://id.caicyt.gov.ar/ark:/s25458299/5nb2gq1r0

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
