Abstract
RESUMEN: Esta monografía estudia el fraude a la renta del aguardiente en Antioquia entre 1736 y \n1814. Con base en el análisis de 60 causas seguidas por fraude, la investigación devela \nlas características sociales de la destilación clandestina y el expendio ilegal del \naguardiente, las normas y formas legales, así como las penas establecidas en la \nlegislación para sancionar a los defraudadores. A partir del análisis de esta práctica \ndelictiva, se develan las pautas de comportamiento, los imaginarios populares, las \nnociones de lo lícito y lo ilícito de la sociedad colonial.
