Abstract
The Visual Voice Art Gallery has teamed up with the New York start-up LightCube Video to present a festival of art videos from around the world. Ranging from animation to cinematic live-action, all videos are following the theme of “freedom”. For example, Jessica MacCormack‘s animation “Joan” deals with the challenges faced by the trans-gender community, in Genevieve White‘s performance piece “November 9th” she bursts red balloons with her bare body, the bursting balloon representing a release from pressure, and the film “When the Sun Crosses the Line That Wind Will Rule the Weather” by Elise Rasmussen explores the history of the fishing industry in Newfoundland.<br/>An engaging collection of contributions from Canada, the USA, Britain, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Italy, Poland, China, and Japan.<br/><br/>Gareth Hudson exhibited his film 'Eventually'
