Abstract
Sue Gollifer, the artistic curator of the exhibition, selected nine international curators to select printed works to represent their countries, which include Belgium, Canada, Finland, Japan, Korea, Netherlands, Siberia, UK and the USA. It also represents the work of international organisations such as Grafisch Atelier Daglicht' & AppendiX grafiek – Netherlands; Printmakers Council (PMC) – UK; The Printsaurus International Print Exchange Association of Japan; and the Hybrid Press University of Wisconsin-Madison – USA The Exhibition ‘Hot Plate’ focuses on installation and unframed work. Looking to position printed works as objects and installations; stepping away from the wall and using new materials, substrates and applications such as cloth, synthetic paper, metal, including shaped works.
