Abstract
L'objectif de cette recherche était de déterminer la fréquence et les complications liées aux infections respiratoires virales, en particulier au virus de l'influenza A et au virus respiratoire syncytial, chez les femmes enceintes durant la période hivernale. Une étude épidémiologique de cohorte prospective et rétrospective s'est déroulée auprès de 537 femmes ayant accouché entre le 15 février 2002 et le 30 avril 2002 au Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Sherbrooke. Les résultats obtenus chez les 517 participantes qui ont répondu au questionnaire auto-administré indiquent que l'incidence des infections respirations d'allure grippale chez les femmes enceintes durant la période hivernale était de 64,1%. Sur les neufs participantes (1,7%) ayant reçu un vaccin antigrippal, six ont rapporté une infection d'allure grippale."--Résumé abrégé par UMI.
