anglicky Thesis title: Language policy of Quebec Keywords: history of Quebec, lingustic laws, Quebec, French-speaking population, French language Abstract: This particular bachelor's thesis deals with the status of the French language in the province of Quebec since the beginning of French colonisation till present. Its purpose is to analyse the complex linguistic issue in Quebec. The text presents an overview of the historical development of French-speaking population on the territory of current Quebec and focuses on analysis of linguistic laws enacted to promote the use of the French language in the second half of the 20th century.
