Notre mémoire vise à approfondir la réflexion sur le thème de l'entrepreneur autochtone individuel et de l'accompagnement entrepreneurial. La littérature sur le développement économique et l'entrepreneuriat autochtone tend à s'intéresser surtout aux dimensions collective et sociale de l'activité économique, en délaissant toutefois les projets portés par les individus. Il existe pourtant un nombre croissant de petites entreprises autochtones et leur apport à l'économie du Québec est de plus en plus reconnu. Or, les entrepreneurs individuels autochtones ont, jusqu'ici, fait l'objet de peu de recherches. De plus, il n'existe pas, à notre connaissance, de recherches sur les pratiques d'accompagnement à l'entrepreneuriat autochtone au Québec. Pourtant, autant la littérature académique que les politiques publiques reconnaissent l'importance d'un soutien adéquat pour la survie d'une nouvelle entreprise. Nous avons donc choisi d'aborder en particulier cette variable pour essayer de comprendre les particularités de l'accompagnement entrepreneurial en contexte autochtone. La question principale soulevée par notre recherche se formule de cette façon : Comment l'accompagnement peut répondre aux besoins de l'entrepreneur autochtone individuel? Pour répondre à cette question, nous avons adopté une méthodologie de recherche qualitative selon une approche d'étude de cas multiple. Nous avons mené deux séries d'entrevues semi-directives avec des entrepreneurs autochtones individuels et des accompagnateurs en contexte autochtone. Notre analyse révèle deux niveaux de résultats.
