Abstract
Tässä insinöörityössä tehtiin tutkimus liiketoiminnan kehittämisestä ja kaikista niistä haasteista, mitä uuden teknologian kehitys tuo tullessaan, henkilöstön, koulutuksen ja rekrytoinnin osalta. \n \nEnsimmäiset lankapuhelimet otettiin Suomessa käyttöön vuonna 1882. Lankapuhelin oli yli sata vuotta Suomen tärkein telepalvelu. Se on ollut saatavilla lähes kaikkialla ja tarjonnut kuluttajalle tietoliikenteen peruspalvelut. Lankapuhelin on ollut joka kodin perushyödyke, hyvällä syyllä sitä on voinut kutsua kansanpuhelimeksi. Puhepalveluiden painopiste on 1980-luvun lopulta alkaen siirtynyt matkaviestintään. Runsaassa vuosikymmenessä suomalaiset ovat vaihtaneet lankapuhelimensa kännykkään. Kännykästä on kasvanut uusi vahva kansanpuhelin. \n \nPuhelu- ja tietoliikenteessä on yhä suuremmissa määrin siirrytty tai siirtymässä langallisesta yhteydestä langattomaan. Harvoin loppukäyttäjä tiedostaa, että pääsääntöisesti langattomana on vain yhteyden viimeinen osuus. Nykytekniikalla heti tukiaseman jälkeen yhteys siirtyy kaapeliin, joista lähinnä on käytössä valokuitu. Kuitu on korvaamassa myös tukiasemien antennikaapelit.
